Yesterday a friend told me: “It’s been September, right away the change of time, and with that we’re entering Christmas.” I don't like those over-fast time jumps. I'm also one of those who think a little bit about the past, but I try to live the spot and the local. However, my colleague’s comment at the end of the year has led me to the Argia Awards involuntarily. We have them on top.
It is not necessary to belong to the ARGIA team to make the proposals of the winners. In recent years, this phase of the process is open and it is time. During the month of October, the proposals of Argia Telebista were to be taken up. Each year the works that stand out in journalism and communication in Euskera are rewarded, and there are not few projects or people that can be adequate to reward within this criterion. More and more eyes look, more possibilities there will be on the table. The ARGIA team also throws out the candidates, but also takes full account in the selection process of arrivals from outside. It is also a sign that more than one sends the same proposal. Sometimes they have also received unknown or unimagined projects, and they are often good surprises.
Every year there are five awards: audiovisual prize, best campaign prize, radio, internet and press prize. A sixth, meritorious one is also granted. This is given to a long-distance project or person.
Proposals can be made for these six awards and can be made by telephone at 943 371545 or by e-mail at argiasariak@argia.eus. In both cases, it would be appreciated if the reason for the proposal, the reason for the award, were explained.
The latest edition has not been possible, due to the pandemic, face to face and still not knowing how to do next. Will we be in a position to celebrate the 33rd edition in Atxegan, in the institutions, in the social partners and in Usurbil, with Argia Gentes? Although the format has not been determined, prizes will be given.
