This summer a group of parents presented the Arnasa Dezagun platform. They are, above all, people from Castilian and Spanish zones, worried about bringing children to model D and not separating children according to the language of their home, so the Basque children are diluted in Spanish as soon as they enter school. In addition, they may feel weird in class, different, even marginalized, and have communication problems with other children. They ask that the idea of respiration be integrated into the school and that those who have Euskera as a home language be placed in the same classroom.
I am in favour. I know it's a thorny issue, but if it's time to make firm bets, you have to start somewhere. Give this option to anyone who wants to live in Basque. But I am concerned, among other things, about the exclusion of discrimination. Who are excluded when we form a group. Nor have I been encouraged by those I have read on the net to some supporters of the platform. Maybe the language of the Internet is aggressive, or four anonymous madmen, anybody knows. But at the moment I feel a bit like in the position of “I like football, not what surrounds it”. In both, a little pathetic, in the two cowardly; just in case, being in favour but not too high.
"Many students living in Irun and Hondarribia come daily to Hendaia, San Juan de Luz, Urruña. Excluding the ikastolas of Seaska
I am, in any case, grateful that the matter is addressed personally. But in the Gipuzkoa Bidasoa there is something else. There is also a model, quite widespread, outside the usual school options in the CAPV, which if we ask your father, will summarize in our phrase with a well-known one: “My people go to France.” In fact, many students living in Irun and Hondarribia come daily to Hendaia, Donibane Lohizune, Urruña. Apart from the Seaska ikastolas, parents can choose between a B model and a French monolingual model.
Why? Well, they say that they learn another language. I would even say it still has a glamour touch. Unfortunately we do not have data, but we do have a constellation: the moist dream of the most optimistic Basque sociolinguists, that is, the universal knowledge of Euskera among the young people of the CAV, will not occur in the short term in our environment, as the Basque child will often meet absolutely Castilian children.
The Frenchman learns elegantly, but alas!, it is another inevitable thing, since the Laboran olilers have never come to study the old A and B models of Irun every day by bus, with an hour and a peak, to master the Spanish giant language. I would really know the reasons behind this phenomenon, because they are looking for or fleeing from what.

And for another year, the unions have organized prefabricated strikes for us. And we, individually, will decide whether or not to join the strike, without the need for any assembly at the school.

Life surrounds everything, it is limited and fragile. To live good lives, it seems to me that the body knows what to do, while the mind, although it knows (when it is well informed), often sees the body deliberately silence. In this silence the mind opens itself to relations... [+]
