- The concert became short, very short. I had been waiting for her for a long time, and perhaps because she wanted a duration that would compensate for all that time. They came from Catalonia to Pamplona with the snow in hand to put the final point to the festival Santas Pascuas. The couple formed by María Arnal and Marcel Bagés has become a quintet in the fourth work of the work. On the first album they have joined in the instruments David Soler, producer of the album, and the young Marta Torrella and Helena Ros have voiced the songs, forming choirs to María. At this time when the pandemic has exposed our fragility, we were thankful for approaching the concert from the stage. You know, because we're weak.
María and Marcel have gone from being in two chairs to a more elaborate staging: on the stage another stage, formed by three stairs of great course. The lights would merge into the essence of each song, and three white voices, the center of the songs, dressed in white, wide clothes, barefoot.

They started the concert with the songs of the new album: the news comes. According to María, her music is based on the oral tradition of the Iberian Peninsula and she wants to approach it from the free culture of the digital age. Being the first couple maintains the importance of melody, but songs are increasingly present in the tools of the digital age. Three raw voices above electronic bases, accompanied by electric guitar.
They started doing what they know: beauty, represented by sound. Although we were prepared to learn new songs, we were also waiting for mythics. And they came before the expected Total Song, You who come to snore me and La gent, among others. Mary and Marcelo's music can reach you in two ways: it can catch you from the beginning or hijack you by listening to what you hear. But once inside, it comes in.
We also had the opportunity to hear the naked voices, three sweet and strong capella voices. We listened, following the elegant and decorated image of the melody. The team has not lost the opportunity to turn Baluarte into almost a nightclub. From chanting capella to singing and dancing on the musical atmosphere created by computer. Who said that this has no tradition?
They had the second concert of the tour and were noticeable in the illusion and carelessness of the “early times”. It transmitted closeness when the group forgot a stanza of a song and repeated it in its entirety and invited us to sing together the most memorable phrase of the total song we all knew, “of this civilí-lí-lí…”.
The concert became short. But as you know, the best perfumes always come in the smallest bottles.
