Little lies
Koldo Aldalur Hirigoien 2020ko abenduaren 24a

I don't know if in your environment, but in my environment, some values are unquestionable: being a working person and not lying, for example. Of course, being Euskaltzale and abertzale, rather than values are symbols tattooed on the skin and heart, citizens of Urola Erdia, without much merit, to tell the truth.

If I'm a working person, well, what am I going to tell you? If it is to bring home and the large group of children forward, it may have to be considered valid, I do not know. If you put thousands of hours into the village foundry is to be a laborer, to buy the larger 4x4 car and, by the way, to fill the head's pockets, it seems to me that that's more mind-blowing than a value.
But I'm always struck by lying. It can be a lie what you say, even if you're convinced you're telling the truth, and it's a perfect lie when you know that what you're saying isn't true when you open your mouth.

In addition, there are painful, deplorable lies, and excusable lies, that is, small lies.

"The negative burdens of information will be the result of the contagion of my optimistic containment immune system, but from time to time I would appreciate a small lie, a polite news"

At The Invention of Lying Ricky Gervais in 2009, everyone in the city said nothing but the truth, and that was a scandal. The day they were fighting because the neighbor had said this or that. And not much better with the family, of course. Someone realized that, saying lies, or at least not saying all truths out loud, their world was much more enjoyable and their relationships much better and easier.

Because just as malicious lying wakes up pain and hatred, small lies allow us to live in harmony. I would say that these lies, besides being necessary for the relationship, also express respect and affection. It is precisely the small lies that make in our relationships the function of oil that we need in order not to beat us at all times painfully.

I have before me the newspaper of the day. Like my environment, it rejects lying. Although thinner than a cigar role, it has demonstrated its strength to firmly resist all the obstacles that have been placed on it. Abertzale media. Deciding whether or not it is Euskaltzale would require a paused debate. Starting with the cover, going through all the sections – including the corners, of course – and even the poster of the films of the little hours of the night I'm not going to see, the news is black. One bad and one worse. It's a reality of the dark time that we're living, yes, but sometimes it seems like every page is a field full of pain, that when you start reading the news, it will burst.

The negative burdens of information over the past few months will be the result of the contagion of my immune system of positive containment, but I would be grateful if I could occasionally offer a little lie, a news that, without being a lie, would encourage us to go out into the street. What is fooling myself? Yes, of course. Do you believe that only you try to deceive life?

If journalists are skilled at something, we say half-truths and half-truths. If it were true that the good news sells as much as the bad, it would still be hunger, but we would laugh more.
