The announcement states, in fact: “Do it for you, do it for the planet.” Droughts, urioles, detachments, fires... Millions of people (7 million in the first six months of 2019) have had to leave their homes because of the disasters they have suffered. It's climate apartheid. These displaced people, for the time being, belong to countries impoverished by the West, so they are lives depreciated. But depreciated lives will soon be ours. The ecological disaster does not know the geographical coordinates.

Here, if the sea goes up, we wonder how many centimeters it will be and how it will affect us, because someone will give us a solution with faith. Quiet. We citizens have already repented; now they can be saviors: to respond to our prayers, green capitalism has been born.

“I’m not Montessori, I’m not Luther King, but I can also change the world.” How? Changing electrical company. That's easy. “Do it for you, do it for the planet.”

Modern greenwashing: consuming “green” products in relation to rebellion; let us not see that the only true rebellion is not consuming. At home we learned that you don't have to spend, if you don't need to. This is a pattern related to the domestic economy, but it goes much further: spending or wasting has a lot of immorality, like the capitalist system that pushes us to it.

Capital takes advantage of everything, so does the grass-roots movement. But the environmental struggle has always been a class struggle: to dirty the bosses, to devour the workers. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Josu Murueta and Anton Fernandez by police shots in Erandio. We were born infected in the Greater Bilbao, with the face and lungs filled with black glitters and attentive to the sounds of sirens. The bosses didn't care if we were killed or the current masters of the world. They will not suffer the effects of climate change, as they have enough money to buy the right to life.

In urgent needs, capitalism sees nothing but the source of surplus value. That is why companies are pushing for their reversal and calling on States and international organisations to give them an appropriate framework. As the Sun Tax was invented and was called upon to penalise energy self-production the day before yesterday, now, following the strategy of big world capital, demand a change of framework: a beneficial tax framework and subsidies. And the rest of us pay for consumption through taxes, among others.

Faced with this, the only answer is New Green Deal. But by putting green Keynesianism into practice, if you take it, forget about the whole social aspect. Public stimulus is not geared to the welfare state or to the protection of human rights, something that is not found in the current strategy of capitalism.

The strategy of capitalism includes oligopolies, as only multinationals and large companies with the economic capacity to prepare ahead will survive. Wealth in less numerous hands. And socially “ecotourism” societies: authoritarian regimes that will deepen climate apartheid.

Meanwhile, the European Parliament recently declared the climate emergency on the eve of the summit, financed by IBEX35 companies. Everything in order.
