Led light bulbs or revolution?

Much has been said in recent weeks about climate change. Ways are being sought to put pressure on politicians and to raise awareness, such as the strike of 27 September last in an innovative way.

Question: Can the sum of many individual gestures and the decisions of politicians of good intent (say) lead to a significant change?

The stability of the economic system is conditional on a positive growth rate. That is to say, produce every year more than the previous year. Life in the farmhouse fades, emptying the towns and filling the cities. The competitiveness of the globalised market comprises only profit and cost laws. And this crazy production system is totally dependent on the financial system. The ants that we form society support all of this. As the main activity of our lives, we fulfil the role that the economic system has reserved for us, whether wage or free of charge.

Is it a continuous connection or an inevitable rupture between the social option and the structure of the system? Is sustainability a long way off? Or outside your framework to understand the world today?
