There was a time when I thought I preferred to die suddenly – no, still, quiet, I have no special interest. But all of a sudden, in order to think only about life, namely whether to live, and thus try to avoid the idea of death. But now I'm not so sure, I have more doubts: I'd like to know when it's going to end more or less to slowly say goodbye to my loved ones, closing things that have to be closed, giving a whole, a sense, a narrative to life. It is absurd, I know, because, if I am not mistaken, we have no way of choosing.
Maybe not to choose, but why not to cook. Sophie Street, for example, has a kind of documentary where she appears buying a tomb in Bolinas, California. A grave for him, of course, for what is no longer in this world – and this is the subject of death, for euphemisms. I do not think that is a bad idea. I too, if I had courage – and, of course, a little money – would buy a grave for me, by the time I am no longer in this world. Certainly, Biriatu, in Lapurdi. And in my life, I would make a visit, a change, an arrangement. We must not forget that I will spend all eternity there. And that's a lot of time.
