Alternative to the G7
  • Representatives of the world economy, made up of the G7 countries, invaded Biarritz with a high-cost, spectacular and annoying safety belt.

They are representatives of capitalism and multinationals. What does an invoice of EUR 30 million for their stay in Biarritz mean for them? With its consequences, they aim to show the “human face” of capitalism, concealing the real objective: to control all governments to maintain the policy of expolio, destruction and precariousness for the benefit of the few.

With so many years of experience in solidarity struggles, Euskal Herria has shown its opposition to this capitalist invasion of our coast. The midfielder has responded with a backlash and civil disobedience that has not appeared in Anoeta. But he has also made it clear that the G7 also has the alternative to this model of capitalist, precarious, militaristic, heteropatriarchal, xenophobic, nuclear and anti-ecological society that it wants to impose.

Thousands of citizens made clear their opposition to the G7 and, above all, showed their willingness to build a new society, composed of policies that have people and peoples in the center: social justice, equality, solidarity, integration of economic and social migrants, anti-patriarchal feminism, real environmentalism, sovereignty of peoples… They are against the destruction of the world and in favour of diversity; they demand real democracy and solidarity between peoples.

Overcoming the traps of capitalism and its media front is not usually easy, but we now know that it is possible to build an alternative society to the G7.
