In the treaty on witchcraft Malleus Maleficarum (1486) the following mention is made: “According to the Church, in sexual intercourse, man introduces a human being with a soul within the body of a woman, who will remain in the womb for nine months, without acquiring any of the characteristics of the mother.”
On the occasion of June 28, a Spanish digital magazine interviewed several famous gays, and one of them, rich owner of a hotel chain, said: “I am sad that we want to put obstacles in the way of having children.” But this claim hides a blatant fallacy, because what we want to avoid is not having children, but comprarlos. No it is strange that both the Church and the Misogynic capitalists consider women as
a simple hole/furnace/container/incubator, but also from the left and feminism we have heard arguments in favour of regulating the trafficking of children – or in more devorable terms and submissive pregnancy in marketing.
No wonder that both the Church and the Misogynic capitalists regard them as a simple hole/oven/container/incubator, but also from the left and feminism we have heard arguments in favor of regulating the trafficking of children.
Some will talk to you about free choice, forgetting that freedom is linked to the subject’s material living conditions and that all “individual” decisions are socially determined. Others draw the letter from altruism, when feminism is over two hundred years old we should be clear that love and altruism are often the result of historically imposed submission roles, which have been socialized to put the needs and desires of others before our own. There are also those who confuse desires and rights, without explaining which women should satisfy that right if a woman believes that the incubation of foreign foetuses is a right – when the birth rate is lower than ever –. Because it's not credible that women don't have children of their own and start having children of others.
And what is the reason for the current low birth rate? The lack of access to the market for children by those who cannot have children is not an urgent matter. The point is that, as soon as you have a mother, you increase the risk of poverty and that is a social problem that needs to be solved immediately, unlike the genealogical whims of a few. The protagonists of this debate are the ones that we have to put at the centre – mothers – and the policies to ensure that motherhood does not fall on the burden: decent maternity leave, cheap public childcare, no expulsions of pregnant women, social and collective responsibility for care… It would be better if we fulfilled those rights that affect half of the population, instead of inventing new supposed rights.

Today, the voices of women and children remain within a culture that delegitimizes their voices, silencing their experiences, within a system aimed at minimizing or ignoring their basic rights and needs. A media example of this problem is the case of Juana Rivas, but her story... [+]

The New Year’s Morning is the title of a roundness created by Joxe Ansorena, brother of our grandfather Isidro, for the Txistularis to hit the streets during the New Year’s Morning. In the air of that melody, we were picking up the wrecks of the night, like the garbage... [+]
We were yelling, “New Year, what brings us?”, around the first night of the year, at the preemies who crossed the road. Waiting for the foals, drunks, us. And as there was no runner or selfie yet, we would find most of the Russians who had gone out to put down the excesses... [+]
