Delivering and enforcing pledges
- In recent times, parties and governments have plunged citizens into an electoral situation in which, in search of their vote, they have blown out voter programmes full of promises. From an economic and social point of view, they have promised many and many different things, in addition to agreeing on some aspects when proposing measures.
In summary, we can mention, among others: the minimum wage of more than 900 euros; equal pay for women and men; the minimum pension of 1,080 euros and the annual increase according to the CPI; permanent permanent contracts, regardless of the existing precariousness and temporality; the tax reform that favours the social majority, raising rates to the rich, societies, banks, multinationals and financial operations; boosting policies of localisation;
It has passed the stage of electoral promises and from now on we have to deliver on what has been promised. In order to do this, responsibility should not just focus on the political party to which we have voted: every person who has voted also has a responsibility. Some parties and governments have to deliver on their promises, but it is the citizens who have to deliver on those promises. There are many ways, from denouncing to pressure from mobilizations. We would have to monitor whether or not the word is eaten, and if so, make it pay in the next ones elecciones.Asi should, comply with what has been promised, but also force it to execute it from today.
