Moon, emperor and wall
  • According to legend, over 2,000 years ago, one night, the first Chinese emperor, Qin Shi Huan, dreamed he was on the Moon.

Seen from there, the new kingdom seemed weak and vulnerable, especially on the vast northern border. The next day he decided to build an artificial shelter there, and so the Great Wall of China was born.

2,000 years later, mixing the elements of this legend, a singular urban legend was formed: The Great Wall of China is the only human-built structure that you can see with the naked eye from the Moon. Even though all the astronauts trampled by the Moon have categorically denied, and often with a touch of mockery, the legend remains widespread.
