A few days later, a few children, fishing with a magnet on the river, “captured” a grenade of the same time in Hamburg, rusty and losing the safety hook. In both cases, no injuries occurred and were treated as anecdotes in the news reports, held in Bilbao.
In 2017, however, anti-personnel mines caused some 2,000 deaths and 4,000 injuries, and unexploded schizophrenia bombs killed nearly 300 people. But they are all far from Rome and Hamburg and they are not news.
