White Noise Session. Killerkume. Gaffer Records / Repentino Records, 2108

The latest album from Killerkume is very nice. It perfectly gathers the raw sound they make when they touch in public, their personality. Recorded live and great in the White Noise studies in Winterswijk (Netherlands) in 2016, under the direction of the technician Marlon Wolterink and mastered by the drums and percussionists of the group Killerkume Joxean Rivas, among others.

Along with Joxean Rivas, Mikel Sowsyah (guitar and effects) collaborates in the Killerkume group. They are only two components of the group, but among them there is a great sound noise. They touch long pieces, vitally, experiment and improvise, and the result of their work is noise-rock and hardcore environments. Crazy drumbeats, very fast rhythm, violent guitar riffs and touches and brushes of different colors... They're abstract, frantic melodies. After all, each piece is a noisy session.

The Killerkume group is from Bilbao and was born in 2012. Ahead of Joxean and Mikel played in the Loan, Ximel, Mirage and Hautsa groups. During these years, with the Killerkume group, they have worked here and there, in Euskal Herria and out: Galicia, Catalan countries, Spanish state, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, France and Portugal.

In 2015, they published Trautzer Blaster, a 12-inch vinyl album, and in 2016 they published another 12-inch vinyl album, Industrial Sunbath. White Noise Session, released this year, may be the live version of Industrial Sunbath, as of the five pieces that make up this album you can hear four in the new album (Operating Theatre, Bilbullshit, Harrapakina and Never-ending spring), and a passage as an introduction. In CD format only 100 copies have been published, but the entire album can be heard on the Bandcamp Internet platform (killerkume.bandcamp.com).

Joxean and Mikel love to improvise and experiment, as in addition to playing in the Killerkume group, they also play in the Orbain Unit group, along with Akauzazte, Los Plomos and Primate Time.
