The collective identity of the Basques today is a question mark. The advocates of this status quo, who feel comfortable in the current calorice, underline the diversity. I think that is a bad joke. What mirror should we look at so that the Basques see each other and get to know each other?

We live under the influence of political tax systems and assimilators that simulate democracy, and more adrift than drift, we often have the feeling that we are going in the opposite direction. We don't own ourselves, and we also don't see how we can do it, we're on that path. “It’s in our hands,” we say, but today there is no way to believe it. We claim the right to decide, but we do not know what can be decided and what we can choose.

Euskal Herria needs a collective project, a concrete, clear and feasible plan to carry out a democratic national organization. It is not born by itself, it does not emerge from the free play of the current political system, which is nothing free. Beneath the illusion of democracy and plurality, the political-institutional space of the moment has chains and ties with that status quo. It's not able to break it by itself, it's not able to completely change course.

Where and how do we then make that movement so important that we need the Basques? How to strengthen the north of the new direction, how to achieve the architecture and adequate resources to organize a sovereign democratic nation in Euskal Herria?

We have to define a collective project that aims to organize Euskal Herria as a democratic nation. This is not spontaneously born of parties, institutions or institutions currently working in parliaments and forums in Pamplona, Vitoria or Baiona, because their work is too closely linked to the limits of the current political systems and to the tactical agreements of everyday life. We need a strategic dimension project in Euskal Herria, and to do so we need a capacity to look above all the limits and interrelations of the political and institutional systems in force.

Building Basque Country on the left? Build on the right? It is not a collective project that only one party or another, left-wing or right-wing forces, one social class or another, can define by itself misma.Es known that, as in any town, in Euskal Herria, the struggle between social classes, gender, language, age, etc., is still alive and often red alive. What the organization of a democratic nation in Euskal Herria has to bring is precisely that all these conditions and conditions, first of all, are taken into account and resolved in a democratic and positive way, is a consensual collective organization.

A priori one can only put in a political position, which is not ideological, which is a mere observation when it comes to implementing this project: That Euskal Herria exists, that it is a people, and that is precisely why this people has the right and the capacity to give themselves a democratic national organization of their own.

So things, and being essential for this project, someone will have to call us in this work, all the Basques and Basques of all classes and conditions, to think, design and materialize Euskal Herria as a democratic nation. In our hands, by the model of all, by the decision of all.
