The edition of this year’s Musical Fortnight will begin on August 3. We therefore have a few days left to decide which concert we will come to. Throughout the month of August we will have many sessions, different styles and a thousand reasons to choose one or the other. That's why, through these lines, and with the intention of helping you, I'm going to recommend a concert for each cycle. However, follow or not my recommendations, go to the Quincena Musical. You will not repent.

To start with the cycle of the Kursaal Auditorium, on 18 August we will have the opportunity to hear a very attractive concert. The Symphony Orchestra of the Basque Country and the Coral Andra Mari, under the batuta of Christian Zacharias, offer classical and fascinating works, although obscure: Joseph Haydn's Passione 49. The Symphony, on the one hand, and in the Réquiem do menor of Michael Haydn, brother of Joseph, is beautiful. In addition, Mozart's 24th. The programme will be completed with the concert of the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra. I won't lose it.

Among the concerts that will take place at the Victoria Eugenia Theatre, I would choose the recital of Alexandre Tharaud, a French pianist and composer. A special and multifaceted musician who has taken some steps in the film, will offer
a varied program and interesante.En the organ cycle, you must approach Ataun unintentionally to listen to the concert that the organist Alize Mendizabal will offer on August 5. The sonority of the organ of the church of St. Martin de Ataun will certainly love you.

It’s hard to choose a program from the Old Music Cycle, but I’m sure on August 8 the concert by Inégal Ensemble will be great. These Czech interpreters, experts in the Baroque repertoire of their country, will give us the opportunity to listen to unscheduled works.

In Contemporary Music, I'm very curious to hear the United Instruments of Lucilin group coming from Luxembourg. These passionate musicians will play a special program that has mythology as its thematic axis.

And finally, again towards the Goierri. In the Musika Aitzaki cycle we have an appointment on August 29 at Plaza Nagusia de Ordizia, to enjoy the Bertsotan session, balcony to balcony, which will offer the Bertso Eskola de Goierri. Fresh proposal!
