In particular, the Bank of Spain has lost EUR 40,078 million to the public rescue of the bank. Fourteen financial institutions received money to be rescued or recapitalised through the FROB, a body owned by the Spanish State, for a total amount of EUR 54,353 million. The Bank of Spain estimates that EUR 3,873 million has been recovered and considers that it has only "the possibility" to recover another EUR 10,402 million. But with the guarantees, guarantees and capital for the bad bank, the cost is much higher. It can be said that EUR 2,000 has been stolen from each taxpayer. Cuts in education (EUR 14 billion), health (EUR 10 billion) and redundancies (EUR 16 billion) would not be needed with this money.
Responsibilities must be clarified: in the boards of each financial institution, in the Bank of Spain, in the European Central Bank... And, of course, also the Spanish Government. In particular, Rajoy has a great responsibility: first he lied us, and now, in the face of that robbery, he washes his hands saying that the depositor has defended. We Basques have another reason to continue to fight for our national, social, economic and political sovereignty.
