The album is seventeen years old, but has just been reedited in vinyl, in a format that was never published, because it was dissolved soon after publishing the album. The Heart of the Sapo has its origin in Aragon, but they were soon integrated into the Basque Country. It is precisely after seventeen years of sleepiness that they return with a single duty: Put your grain of sand in this special edition of the Hatortxu Rock festival.

The Sapo Heart is closely related to the rich 1990s. Without north or without ideas, the hardcore-punk of the Spanish state contributed a great freshness on the stage, with an energetic, committed and imaginative musical offer. From his first work The Imagination Against Power, the group greatly expanded the eyes and ears. And of course, faster than fast, Euskal Herria, who had the most powerful music scene in the Spanish state and the most powerful underground infrastructure, opened his arms to the group. They also felt at home and the group was many times among us, and gradually it was done here to a large extent.

That decade was very rich, in almost all the villages there were gaztetxes, the desire and ways of working were more conscious and constructive and solid infrastructures had been built: free radios, fanzines, independent record companies, alternative distribution networks, anti-developmentalism, a lot of creativity and many music enthusiasts, among others. Also The Heart of the Toad possessed (and has) that essence. Proof of this was the trajectory and character of the group. In addition, that decade broke the punk vs heavy dichotomy of the past (which was already sterile) and involved the opening of musical styles and likes. Thus, as the boundaries between many styles burst, openness brought with it a rich fusion that also benefited music. The Heart of the Sapo was a clear example of this.

Then Kuraia, Matxak and until the first steps of Fer Apoa, who currently heads Estricalla, in the El Corazón del Sapo group faded. There they masterfully worked the hardcore of the old school, the loud melody, the upper-case poetry, the splashes of metal and rap, with the rhythm change, the penetrating online guitar and the essence of their own.
