The Oso Fan group has already released its first album. A nice album, which is heard to taste. In songs you can hear pop melodies, sweets, and you even notice some folk touch. They're nice melodies that convey a little bit of melancholy.
The songs talk about little daily details, not so small, with rigor and some salt. “Today he begins to die, I swear to you that tomorrow I will start to do what I promised, to do everything right,” as they say today in the first Single.
The Donostian singer and guitarist Giorgio Bassmatti and the Catalan drums based in Donostia-San Sebastián Oriol Flores are the components of the Oso Fan group, integrated in the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra. Giorgio Bassmatti has his voice, his way of chanting, soft, humble, that comes to the bottom. Oriol Flores is a great drummer dedicated to songs, rhythm to melodies and compose melodies.
Both are not newcomers. Bassmatti has previously published Concertante melodies (2014) and Aholito (2010) with Jon Bidaur and has also published Kafe eta galletak (2009). He also made the EP with the Donut Allenesque Boutade (1996). The Donut group was part of the group with Jon Bidaur and Ivan Zabalegi (Lisabo, Nire). Oriol Flores is a music teacher. With Drive 3ps, Drive 3ps, Gozategi, Iker Lauroba, Charlie and the Colours, Amor de Tokyo and Izaro, among others, he has recorded several albums with which he has collaborated in several bands.
The Oso Fan album can only be purchased in public performances and through the web www.bassmatti.com. The recording was carried out in the MIK study of Bera and was performed by Xabier Erkizia. Xabier Erkizia has been in charge of recording and production, and two other people have participated in composing the album: Arrate Garcia (choirs and Chinese) and Pilar Aguilar (cover).
The Oso Fan group is making its own journey and is becoming more and more known. He won the Confidence Bazterra 2016 music band competition. In the words of the members of the group, the prize has been a stimulus to keep making music: “Christ has deluded us to receive this mention to continue making our free pop.”
So far, a number of actions have been taken. Among others, they will be active in the Kafe Antzokia of Bilbao and Durango, in the La Zentral room of Pamplona, in the San Agustin Kulturgunea of Azpeitia, in the Zarautz Model room, in the Kalegorri music cycle of Urretxu, Japan, and will continue playing here and there.
