The fourteen titles in this collection of stories emphasize what needs to be observed in each narrative: the misery that brings us daily is shown through the narrative voice that speaks to us in the first person, pure and direct.
One of the functions of literature is to be a reflection of the society of its time to reproduce or disconstruct it. And that's what the author does best in stories. We are alone in this age of globalization and consumerism of multinationals, neoliberalism and the United States Empire and we have to try to be “who”, establish (precarious) relationships with those of our environment and achieve “happiness”.
The stories Duty Free or Jane Doe deal with love and sex, relationships or family In the narrations Where to store things you don't know, Room Service and Family Spring, we will find intergenerational complicities and misunderstandings in the texts Once or Minutes of Trash.
Marina Garcés tells us that in the present capitalist individualism we have to create community, entering into interaction with others and losing control of the situation (to overcome the situations that appear in the stories, for example). That in this way we will be able to find what the embodied subjects share by touching (h)u(n) (what the reader will feel when reading the text).
Brigitte Vasallo, on the contrary, says that the last conquest of capitalism in the sexual affective realm is to turn bodies and desires into consumer objects (it is an opportunity to reflect on how we understand these relationships), when he talks about overcoming monogamy and polylove.
Gender will be indeterminate in many of the beginnings of the story and we will stay for a while without knowing how to place the protagonist in the social. We will often identify with the intimacy of the main character and share their pain. In areas such as the airport, the hotel and the hospital we will cross Franz Kafka or Lewis Carroll. Sickness, old age and death appear right away.
It cannot be denied that Ana Malagón has exhibited in his two books shades and personal styles, has a look of his own. For he has come to tell us the clear things: “Our life is not synchronous swimming,” but “a mixture of talent, addictions and psychological problems.”

It is not an easy task to define what the new US mandate will bring in the economic sphere. The axis of the new economic strategy will be the peculiar union between liberalism and protectionism for the external sector. Despite what has happened in the United States on a regular... [+]
The evolution that the Internet has taken over the last 15 years, together with its technological and business model, makes us think that it is a tool to increase the worst aspects of humanity. Around the world, agents have been created that are not satisfied with this idea... [+]
In recent years, I have made little progress. I have said it many times, I know, but just in case. Today I attended a bertsos session. “I wish you a lot.” Yes, that is why I have warned that I leave little, I assume that you are attending many cultural events, and that you... [+]

They're one of the most beautiful memories I have in my heart. At the time I was doing Basque Philology and we went to a society in Arbizu to a concert by Ruper Ordorika. There were Rikardo Arrangi Diaz of Heredia and Juanjo Olasgrip. I didn't dare to tell Arrangi that I had in my... [+]

It is said that Simone de Beauvoir wrote that the oppressor would not be so strong if he did not have complicit in the lines of the oppressed. It seems very normal to me... What do you want? When you're down, it's also understandable that you want to improve your condition, and... [+]

Many times, after looking at the brumas from my house, it has occurred to me not to catch umbrellas, even though I know I will just soak up. Why will it be? Maybe you don't want to catch the umbrella? Maybe in the hope that I don't get wet? Nevertheless, the conclusion has always... [+]
I remember when I was 16 years old, the Ertzaintza first identified me in a concentration in favor of the Basque Country before the Bergara courts. We believed that in Euskal Herria it was legitimate to cry for the Euskaldunization of the courts, but then there would also be a... [+]
