Scenic sense
My former piano teacher, the tolosarra Mari Carmen Okariz, said: “You have to have a stage view.” What did I mean by that? Perhaps at that time, a seventeen year-old girl did not understand her meaning too much, but she repeated over and over again that within this mantra there were many things: the attitude that had to be on the board, the aristocratic; the need to work various resources to capture the public, and the passion, grace and communication that was needed for interpretation. In short, what goes onstage has to become a star to be an artist. As I said, that “stage instinct” to which he referred seemed to me to be simply a rarity of my professor. But today I know that all of this is absolutely necessary for the attention and admiration of the public. Following this thesis, I must confess that Ainhoa Arteta is a real artist, as she dominates all the tools necessary to put the audience in the pocket, no doubt.
XII Great Concert of Vitoria. The concert program in the cycle was not the one that attracts me too much in itself, but well, by the hand of Ainhoa, the World Cup, even if it's very bad.
The old Spanish songs, with texts and music by García Lorca and Xavier Montsalvatge, are a selection of short and well-known songs. Some of them adapt quite well to Ainhoa's voice, and others, unfortunately, don't. The first part of the programme was somewhat hesitant. In the second one, however, we were able to enjoy the essences of Ainhoa, with some dark lights. Anda Jaleo de Lorca, nice, but very dark for the voice of Arteta. Soprano performed brilliantly Songs for children, short and special. And the best, no doubt, was Miquel Ortega's Songs cycle, where Arteta extended an impressive expressiveness. Very nice.
However, the artist, who makes scenic sense, we saw it in tips. He really liked the Gasteiztarra audience. To one of the first patrons of Ainhoa, a woman from Vitoria, dedicated her first eye, a song of Guridi.Por of course, sang a nice baby dedicated to her aunt, who lives in Vitoria. He also performed the Vissi d’arte aria of the wonderful Tosca opera. And finally, Arteta showed that he is prepared for everything with the song La tarántula, by the zarzuela La tempranica.
