You won't become them easily
Age and experience have a lot to do with many aspects of life, and surely that is why we look back many times, knowing that our references of yesteryear will not be repeated, with a point of disgust. Yes, it is almost impossible to repeat the attachment that has been achieved with some songs at other times in life and it is very difficult to find new proposals that make you upside down. But let's admit, at least to me, the groups that have given me the most surprise have been the ones made up of very young musicians. And among them it's been a very nice surprise to meet the couple Luma. The advice of a couple of friends, watch some videos on the internet, enjoy them live and, now, listen to the album. In fact, they have a big jump from the direct to the disc and vice versa: they're different planes.
Luma consists of Xabi and Adrián, two young people of 24 and 22 years of age from Donostia-San Sebastián. They were going to skate and watch concerts when they decided to create a music group. Although they had previously been immersed in some blues project, two years ago they got underway. The guitar and the battery are the only thing they use and, to tell the truth, they get along very well. Xabi has imagination in playing guitar and nerve, and a safe recording voice, with a very convincing diction in English. Adrián, on the other hand, is a very stylish, very rich bush.
In May last year, they published the Club, which consists of four songs. Cave is a direct song, something crude and rocker, which, although more relaxed, drinks from the punk trinity – Stooges, Ramones, Damned... The Club has the label stinger, but somewhere it has also received the cadence of Jim Morrison. Messman more dirty (distorted) and also dancer, a sign that he has ever danced with post-punk. And finally, Maniac seems to have given birth in New York, he's a relative of Ramons, but paradoxically you can see in the background the dead world of RIP.
Now they are presenting Airwalk published in February, even though what you can watch and listen live has a more grungee and rocker touch, more powerful. Borne is a salad between psychodelia and noise of the 1990s, which unites dancing rhythms. This is a noise-pop trampantage label, which may have Sebadöh in the north: Time (also in English) is a melancholic rock, very trabajado.En Sparkie sparkie, Pixies, the most melodic, with England's power-pop; and, finally, Players post-rock (analogue) but almost electronic, dancing.
