Looking forward to a long time
The Azkoitia Passepartout group has recorded five songs and hung them on the Bandcamp Internet platform (passepartout.bandcamp.com) completely free to download. It wasn't long ago that the group was formed, about a year, and they're the first to record these five songs. They've worked on Azpeitia's 2Noisy study.
Itzi Beitia (keyboards), Jontxu Ape (bass), Ruben Lizarralde (guitar), Tomas Lizarazu (guitar and voice) and Xabi Arrieta (drums) have spent many hours at the test site, working carefully on songs, arranging and tuning rhythms, melodies and songs.
In the songs you can hear nice melodies. They make rhythm changes and well combine quiet environments with stronger ones, but they maintain intensity.
Through their songs they present their concerns and feelings: “I read the books behind me, I have the obstacles buried” (Behind me), “On this small planet we have been barefoot in every hole in the womb” (Belatz), “We want to continue building without ever forgetting the direction” (Halley 62), “There is no need for names in the arms of how impossible we are in the arms of the impossible” (Oskarbi).
They're newcomers, but they want to work a lot of time. The members of the group understand each other well and are clear about what they want to do and how. That's noticeable when you listen to these five songs and they're present in a public performance. When they play in public, they do it with a lot of passion and courage, you can see clearly that they have fun playing their own songs, giving them all that they have inside and transmitting all that.
