For three or four weeks now, the four parties supporting the Government of Change in Navarre are meeting in a sectoral way to agree on how to allocate the money in next year’s budgets. The needs are high and the money is low, and it will not be easy, far from it, to meet all the requests.
It must also be borne in mind that an enormous amount of money must be spent to cover the holes left by UPN. We can and Left-Ezkerra prioritize the social sphere, in particular the income of inclusion. That is what is said over and over again. But without taking into account that it is also a social question, for example, to allocate the money to the rural environment, so that certain counties of Navarre do not evict, as in many valleys only elderly people live.
However, the Basque people and the rights of the people of Euskaldunes are by no means a priority for these two groups; that was already known, and it has been demonstrated again in the meetings. In fact, as soon as the issue is raised on the table, suspicions begin. And the debate is not about changing the Basque Law, because Ezker Batua has made it clear that he is against any political change, and that he will not guarantee any change in the legislature. Now the debate is money, that is, how much money to give to Euskarabidea.
The groups in Euskalgintza have made a specific request for budgets; twice the amount granted this year to next year’s budgets, so that the groups working in the Basque sector begin to emerge from the crisis (Basque media, Euskaldunisation of adults, etc.). ). Just listen to this, the representatives of Ezker Batua, who together with Batzarre make up Ezker Batua, pointed out at the meetings that this year the Basque was given a lot of money and that – the slogan of always – the priorities are different.
The long hand of CCOO is behind that closure, or what is the same, one of the fundamental pillars of the regime that has been in force for decades in Navarre (and which is maintained in many areas). When the regime is said, it is money; that is, here there has been a very large structure for distributing Navarre's money among friends. And that's what has jeopardized change. That is why they have attacked the Government of Navarre and the municipalities that do not want to lose money, and the CCOO trade union also wants to retain the money.
It will have to be seen whether, in addition to jeopardising this structure, this union actually runs out of money, and some more.
