My lover's melodies take me to other lands, to other worlds. My imagination is freed. There are five songs on your album, exciting, beautiful. Environments, moods and various passages. Many details and circumstances.
It's popular music. Experimentation also, search sessions and exploration of unusual roads, other places. Behind Amorante is musician Iban Urizar. His music, according to Iban himself, is extracted from the people, from their roots and from their guts.
The recording included Patxi Zabaleta (church organ), Niño de Elche (voice), Naia Membrillera (maracas, sticks and bombo), Aitor Nova (saxo barítono), Francesca Romana di Nicola (arpa), Maite Arroitajauregi (violoncello) and Xabier Erkizia.
Harkaitz Cano has also written the words of the song “Raw, raw and incocible memories” and the song “Oiloarena” is based on the coplas written by Bixenta Mogel: “The widow had a matinal gift of treasures between laying hens’ drawers.”
The Iban Urizar himself, in addition to singing and making recordings of corneta, saxo, ukulele, harmonium, bells and guitar, has written the lyrics of the songs “Keeping a room in the tower of the princess remember the forgotten knights the sounds of the frog”, Dogma, “All the questions you leave on the way, are” and Otoi (My Father): “My father would take me home, the wolves would howl to the sky / My father would take me home, the wolves would howl to the sky.”
Amorante has been well received. The five songs have been edited in the form of sound postcards, with a total of 82 units sold, but can be downloaded from the Bandcamp platform on the Internet.
Iban Urizar played a trumpet in Zokoa, Frijolo, Cafe Teatro, Menguele Quartet and Bizarra, Joseba Irazoki eta Lagunak and Joseba Tapia also played the guitar in the Andrakan group, participated in experimentation and improvisation, and acted alone as a lover.
