Joseba Irazoki and Lagunak have published a single vinyl with the label Acuarela de Madrid in which two songs can be heard. They're both very good, exciting.
In the songs you can see the air of rock, folk, blues and psychodelia, suggestive melodies. The arrangements and decorations are very elaborate and very well done. Touches, details and small noises appear everywhere, but all are well placed in place.
The illusion is a vivid, powerful song with a slightly crazy rhythm and repetitive melodies as its main axis. The spring sun, on the other hand, is quieter and is composed of beautiful and sweet melodies.
The words of the song Irudipena are based on a text by Xabier Gantzarain (“Without any world a human without world wakes up every day, a world has to be invented that can live every day”) and those of the song Udaberriko eki guzkantua have been written by Beñardo Goietxe (“Let the Sun of the Spring Come, Be Careful or Unconcerned”).
Joseba Irazoki (voice and guitar), Felix Buff (drums), Jaime Nieto (bass), ager Insunza (guitar, pedalsteel and violin), Iban Urizar (clarinet and keyboards) and Ibai Gogortza (saxophone) participated in the recording sessions with Iñigo Irazoki and Jon Agirrezabaga (cover design). They have all done their job very well.
Joseba is an artist, a musician and a great composer, and her friends are great musicians. They're a very well-synchronized little orchestra. They've published a Single, a short but very nice piece of work. I am listening gladly. These days they are being presented in public events. Among others, they will be active in Gorliz on 4 August and in Bilbao on 24 August.
