I knew that the base of the Sonic Trash group came from the Ya Te Digo group, created at the beginning of the millennium in Bilbao, but that name -- Ya Te Digo -- took me off a point of interest and I didn't listen to them. Later I learned that in 2000, with a single model, they had won the prize for the best Basque team in the prestigious competition Villa de Bilbao. Three long albums (Uruhue–2001, Kill switch–2005 and Trash tango–2008) and several minor works, especially in Bizkaia, where numerous concerts were held, always building sound distortion walls, working guitars and hard and introverted rhythms and giving a more distinctive – more Indian – touch thanks to David’s voice.
Then came the Sonic Trash group, which aimed to bury Ya Te Digo and slap the listener further. And by the way, it also attracted the attention of other music lovers. In 2011, Hey Chica saw the light of a long work and the team proved that it had been strengthened. In addition, the Mariana battery returned from the beginning.
The Sonic Trash group is a fan of music, almost crazy, and you can see that on their records. Because it's impossible to name what they do, it's so open, visceral, contemporary, dark, sticky and violent. However, the last great work of the group, Latigo will probably go unnoticed!
The Crocodile Ball That Opens the Disco You Tomb: Battery Blows That Take Your Breath, Dirty Blues Fast, Mysterious and Dark, Totally Rocker. The walker is a post-rock with distortions, whispered intervals and round crowns. St. Thomas is the most complete song, the round disc: the most forceful power-pop piece I've heard some time ago. U.S. Zamudio boogie drinks from punk, metal and Explosions Jon Spencer Blues. It's a weird, spatial agony, of great intrigue. Bang is a hard rock, with a big heart, attached to pop and bait. Latigo is a high-energy energy energy in Spanish that burns if you touch it. High-energy queens, a curved guitar salad and punk rock. Post-hardcore love, free and wedding pop-rock. And finally, Venganza, a very dark rocker piece that approaches indifferent to the fields of industrial techno.
The team is a whole finding. It's very strong, it's a pisoton, a guitar bent to the end, with deep, heavy rhythms, that comes back from darker post-rock environments to the most authentic rock and pulls out the most juice. And above all, or next to, almost as a contrast, David's voice and semicyptic words, which receive penetrating records of whispering, insinuation or scream.
