Kali is the goddess of eternal, dark and violent energy, which is represented by the tongue taken out.
In 1971, The Rolling Stones released Sticky Fingers. The cover was made by Andy Warhol, but inside, for the first time, the logo of the tongue and lips designed by the 24-year-old John Pasche was placed.
The singer of the group, Mick Jagger, taught Pasche an image of Kali for the designer to serve as a source of inspiration. Pasch decided to represent the goddess's mouth, although he later used Jagger's eye-catching mouth as a model.
John Pasche was paid $50 for one of the most famous icons of the last century.
