Gure basoak: izenak, izanak eta borrokak
Baso bat bilatzen genuen, baina ez genuen galtzeko basorik nahi, elkar aurkitzeko balioko ligukeena baizik; bai gure buruak, bai historiak eta bai memoriak zapalgailu bezala pasatako emakumeenak aurkitzeko.
Historia eta memoria inperioen, gerren eta garaipen handien ikuspuntutik errezitatuak izan dira, bizitzari ekarpenik eman ez, baina haien poltsikoak ederki betetzen dituen kantua. Ez dugu memoria hori nahi; boteretsuena, erregeena. Bizitza, liburu eta aldizkari handietan ateratzen ez dena, bestelakoa da, eta horretaz asko dakigu emakumeok.
Baso horri Zozaiako Mari izena jarri diogu, 1610. urtean Logroñon gauzatutako prozesuan eraila, ziurrenik artaldetik bereizten zelako, sotanei ez jarraitzeagatik. Maria Txokote izena ere izan zezakeen, eskapo egiteko aukera izan zuen Pasaiako sorgina. Edo Encarnación Nieto eta Francisca Martín enpresako batzordean parte hartu zuten lehen emakumeetakoak eta emakume gehiengoaz osaturiko 1920. urteko grebaren batzordean parte hartu zutenak; gizonen neurrira egindako eremuetan haien tokia izateko borrokatu zuten emakume sindikalistak.
Basoari Agustina Otaola jar geniezaiokeen edo 1965. urtean profesionalak izan ziren inguruko erraketista batena. Hor daude ere Sara Carracelas eta futbol zelaietan arima uzten duten emakumeak; Ibaika, Pasaia eta Oiartzungo arraunlariak; eskualdean eskubaloiak eman dituen txapeldunak; eta bertsolaritzan Joxepa Antonia Aranbarri edo Oiartzungo Lukasia Elicegi adibidez, gizonen eremutan parte-hartzeagatik bidesari handia ordaindu behar izan zutenak, “azalean dagoen baina azalarazten uzten ez duten askatasunaren defentsa”. Izan ere, haien neurrira egindako iraultzen kontaketak gizonek idatziak baitira.

Ezin ahaztu gure komandoattua, eta tortura jasan duten emakumeak, gure herrian borrokaz eta errepresioaz asko dakigula. Emakume feministen sareko kideak abortatu nahi zuten emakumeak Lapurdi, Zuberoa edo Nafarroa Behereko lurraldera pasatzen laguntzen zutenak. Baina Zozaiako Mari basoa deitu diogu, sutan bukatu zuten eta gu bezala desobedienteak ziren asaben omenez.
