Everyone is nervous. Above all those of UPN, and of course all those who, to some extent, have lived very well from the current institutional structure of Navarre. At least those who have ruled for long years have reason to be more anxious than agitated. The truth is that there are many other environments in Navarre, and those are quiet. It is true, however, that for the first time UPN has had great problems in drawing up the municipal lists (also in La Ribera) and that they have had a great stir to form the candidature for Parliament; it is also true that the surveys – both those appearing and those silenced – have predicted a great setback for the right and have valued the possibilities of Uxue Barkos, which will hardly reach 26 if the sum of the PSN. It is precisely this last force that has been pushed out of nowhere because it has come to power, and it is known that the tendencies of the State always have a great influence in Navarre. Just as Podemos reached its peak in autumn (the Navarrometer, witness it), it now seems that it will be the time for C’s, and that many of the centre-right voters who were going to stay at home with the attitude of UPN and PP will vote C’s.
Of course, those who are committed to change must necessarily reach an absolute majority. Bildu, Geroa Bai and Left-Ezkerra work on it, in their respective fields, and also Podemos. But, chilled by the fever of last autumn, we will see what the party of Pablo Iglesias will do when voting a different government, as we must not forget the proposals they have had in the debate: Let UPN rule, at least until the elections to the Madrid Congress. Javier Esparza, for his part, has announced all the misfortunes that exist and that do not exist in the world if the government changes, such as the closure of the concerted schools. It is precisely this week that a director from Pamplona told the teachers that UPN has to vote if the centre is still open. But fears, in general, are already internalizing companies, finance, education, etc., that change can actually happen and, in case, messages are being sent to the potential promoters of change. This year, therefore, the month of May can be the centrepiece of a whole generation.
