Two other hypotheses on the origin of Saturn rings
Joxerra Aizpurua Sarasola 2014ko abenduaren 23a

Researchers have been investigating the origin of the beautiful rings of saturn for some time. More than one hypothesis has been made, but so far ignorance has prevailed. Researchers from a Nice observatory have recently launched two hypotheses. According to one of them, the rings formed when a large object beyond Neptune reached the saturn ice layer and destroyed it in millions of fragments. The other hypothesis is that the rings are made up of millions of fragments scattered around the planet after an ice satellite, relatively close to Saturn, crashed into the planet.
