In the construction works of line C of the Rome metro a water tank of 35 x 70 meters has been located. It is most likely to be used to irrigate the crops of an agricultural company, although the hypothesis that it was built to curb the flooding of a nearby river is not ruled out. The finding is of great importance, on the one hand, because it is the largest water tank in Antiquity found so far. And, on the other hand, because it is in the neighborhood of San Giovanni; although in Rome there are no remnants of the past, in this area no structures of Antiquity have been discovered so far. It also has its bad side, because the works of the metro will be delayed, but the Romans are accustomed to it.
