In defense of abortion, we often say that we are talking about deciding about our bodies, in the broad sense. We say it because we are clear that we often decide little about our bodies.
For example, when we choose to live in the genres that we want – I mean transsexuality – we have to go through a psychiatric process that needs to be endless, aggressive, schizoid, binarist and illegal, so that women can take the same hormonal bombs (or testosterone) that we mentioned before with the slightest reason.
This control has a lot of gender control and, therefore, the right to decide about our bodies is not limited to abortion. Because the right to decide about our bodies is a struggle to liberate that body so medicalized, so institutionalized and so catholized.
