At the 37th UNESCO Conference, minority language communities have had the opportunity to say a few words. The president of SEASKA and Eskolim, Paxkal Indo, the director of SEASKA, Hur Gorostiaga, and the Occitana Research Institute, Alexis Quentin, were present. Paxkal Indo had barely four minutes to explain the obstacles to the teaching of minority languages in the French State.
Indo denounced the two sides of France. The international treaties signed by France recognize that children have the right to learn their mother tongue, but it behaves as if there were no minority in their territory and does not comply with what was signed.
