The Emon group presents us in this new album twelve songs of confetti color. The group created in the spring of 2007 has presented its latest work in this same season, with which they release songs impregnated with the colors that resonate with the spring. The Bergara group has gathered a dozen songs of different styles and melodies, each more or less additive.
Ska, raggae-ska, rumba, cumbia, salsa, tex-mex, rock, pop-rock and music from the Latin world have immersed themselves in different rhythms singing and showing their ease to go from one style to another. The influences collected by the group members – The sticker, Manu Chao, Joxe Ripiau, Esne Beltza –
are known in the choice of styles of the canciones.El release of your second album is a challenge for many groups and also for the Emon group, as with this new project the band has wanted to make a 360 degree turn and leave behind its roots. They have made it clear to us that they have no intention of staying in a certain style and have dared to try in the well with Latin rhythms or rumba. They're sticky melodies, warm rhythms wanting to dance, joyful music that you can hear at any time. The young are the members of Emon and in each compass the freshness and illusion of the juventud.Se have paid special attention to creation, since each song
has been received with mime, taking full care of all the details of it. The time spent on the recording process has also been taken into account, demonstrating that the ultimate result agent has been given maximum responsibility. The group has
had many collaborators in the development of Konfeti Kolore, both in the music sector and in the literature. For example, Adria and Rubén, from the La Sticker group, have put the voices (in Catalan) in the song Amett fabrika dedicated to Kukutza. Oier Ponza Joxpa has been to the piano with Larrosa, a red one, with Singing a rumba and Touching one. Oihane Sarasola has also made his contribution, voicing a number of songs. Axular Arizmendi, in addition to playing the percussion, has performed programming tasks. The authors of the texts include Bertsolaris Itsaso Paia, Maialen Arzallus, Iratxe Ibarra, Jokin Uranga and Iñaki Gurrutxaga. They are living and committed texts that take into account the current situation in which we live. The fears, desires, illusions and dreams of today’s young people have been infected with optimism and have tried to bring positive messages to light.
His main goal was to have a good time when it was founded in 2007. Without their own songs, they made versions until in 2010 they started creating new songs. The piztu people started to sound thanks to the songs they picked up on their first album, and the increase in live performances helped them do so. After visiting London and Italy in 2011, they started developing the idea of publishing their second album in the group. At that time, when singer Oihane Sarasola left the group, it was time for replanting. Since then, Eneko Longarte has been the singer of Emon and Andoni Larraza the trumpet player. During this period of reflection, the group analyzed the path it wanted to take well and decided on diversity and confusion.
I like the journey that you've chosen, the open attitude with which you've made the songs. I appreciate that the juice received from different sources has been reflected without prejudices filters and I like the curious Konfeti colour cocktail that is mixed with very different ingredients. Every now and then I'll give you a drink. It's better to feel it, to trust.
