Ballad of faithful Basques
Miel Anjel Elustondo 2012ko martxoaren 13a

The text mentioned by Txomin Peillen was published in issue 4 of the journal. It is signed by Joanes Miranda. Mirande published his poem in 1950 in Elgar, a monthly magazine of the Basques of Paris, saying: “The so-called menstruante, although it has no pretensions or bravery of others, has left a large chunk of bethi for new ideas. Let Basque helmets just coming out of the egg take an example.” However, they talked about the journal Enbata, which they received criticism of, and Igela responded enthusiastically...

Mirande's poem has seven verses. We've changed the first two here. Below the title, includes in parentheses the following note: “A prayer at the same time directed to Ortzi, the Basque god, made by those who are not honored.”

Soin zabal,

are honest, oh! so
honourable and
fully gentleman......................
