Inma Gomila Carro was born in 1957 in Deusto (Bilbao). He holds a degree in Economics and Business Sciences from the University of Deusto. Very young he received administrative and financial management responsibilities in the hospitality company that regulated the cafes Iruña and La Granja de Bilbao, and later worked in Irun, in Mataderos Montero.

In 1988 it reached the group of companies in which the weekly ARGIA, Ametzagaiña, participates, with the then computer company Apika. For a decade he had administrative and financial responsibilities.

Like the projects and intentions of this Weekly, Inma experienced the difficulties of survival from the inside in those years. Among the projects, it was necessary to find and organize a new headquarters for ARGIA and the printing press Antza, which finally materialized in the industrial estate of Lasarte-Oria. And almost at the same time came the creation of Euskaldunon Egunkaria.

He participated in the preparation of the newspaper Euskaldunon Egunkaria and, in December 1990, worked as the initial management team that the newspaper published, until he left office in June 1991. He returned to the management of the companies of the Ametzagaiña group, always with the usual energy to take the work forward and defend the ideas of the left.

In those years, he was part of his family with Simeon Barroso, head of company information technology in the group since 1985. They brought two children, Odei and Orhi. Later they received two other boys at home, Miguel and Sebas.

After residing in Hondarribia, the house was built in Urruña. Inma participated in the campaigns and start-up work of the ikastola de Urruña. The ikastola of Urruña was made against the will of the mayor and most of the institutions, in auzolan, with various activities to raise money – the campaign to offer stones to build the ikastola to the Euskaltzales was known; the same construction was received by the volunteer workers. Inma was also a member of the SEASKA management for a time.

He worked in ARGIA and Ametzagaiña until the beginning of the century. In 2001 he and Siomeon Barroso created Diana, a technology informatics services company, who was awarded the Toribio Etxeberria Award for the best business idea.

Shortly afterwards, by order of Judge Juan del olmo, he was arrested in the closing operation of the Euskaldunon Egunkaria newspaper organized by the Civil Guard on 20 February 2003, when he crossed the border with Irun and headed for Hondarribia airport. After five days of incommunicado detention, the Ertzainas left a EUR 18,000 bond on the street for civil liability. He was not tried because much earlier the court had left him out of the case. Although she did not report torture, her friends learned that she had been treated very violently.

At the end of 2010, the doctor announced the first signs of a serious illness. It was operated in early 2011. His companions in this difficult year say he has struggled to overcome the disease and has not given up until a few weeks before his death. He died on the night of 22 December. On the 24th, Christmas Eve, was burned at the Centolen Tanatorio de Errenteria, after receiving the last goodbye.

Argia wants to say goodbye to Inma Gomila's memory with these lines and joins the sadness experienced by her peers before and now, her friends and especially her family.
