Txuma Murugarren releases his sixth album from Akarka: Songs by Side B (Sounds of Gaztelupe). He has recorded the album with Natxa Beltrán (drums), Ekaitz Hernández (bass), Miguel Ramírez (guitar), Rafa Rueda (guitar) and Rafa Aceves (keyboards).
Mikel Ruedazinemagile’s first feature film, The Light of the Stars, arrives in cinemas. In 1938, a couple of hotels and the seminary on the beach of Saturraran in Mutriku were converted into prisons. Under the pretext of eradicating communism, 57 children were taken away from their mothers and given to families that had won the war. The film tells the story of one of these women who had been imprisoned. Barbara Goenaga is the main protagonist.
The Portal de Aizkorri Interpretation Centre has been opened in the Anduetza farm in Zegama (Gipuzkoa), a former hospital. The center, which will be the entrance and showcase of the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park, will not only provide information about the environment, but will also offer visitors the opportunity to discover the San Adrian Tunnel and/or the Aizkorrondo Canal.
