To remember the history and the circumstances of the Elai Alai dance group in Gernika (Bizkaia) and to thank all those who have danced there for their work, Txomin Unzalu has published the book: The Elai Alai of Bruges in the 20th century. In this collection of more than three hundred pages and so many photographs, he has received more than eighty years of experience. A total of 900 people are the protagonists in this story.
The Bilbao Fine Art Museum, Lazkano, exhibits works by the Bergara painter Jesús Mari Lazkano. Titled From Architecture to Nature. The selection has been made by the artist himself, without any curators, trying to increase the connection with the audience. The artist has exhibited more than 80 works, 20 of which have never been exhibited before the public. They will be on display until January 16, 2011.
The Bilblogger Competition aims to promote Basque in Bilbao. The initiative, created by the City Council and the Nuremberg website, is aimed at Basque bloggers there. Students between the ages of 15 and 35 can participate and papers must be submitted by November 22. The best personal blog, the best group blog, the best thematic blog and the most original blog will each receive a prize of 300 euros.
