Ordizia and Zarautz youth on the net
The survey was conducted in schools where Imanol Epeld and Maite Goñi are teachers. The first one has interviewed young people between the ages of 12 and 16 from the Antoniano School in Zarautz and the second one between the ages of 16 and 18 from the Ordizia School of Knowledge. The following are some of the conclusions:
They spend 3.5 hours per day on the internet and on television.
– The Basque language websites are accessed 1 out of 4 and not in search of fun, but in search of things for school work.
– 90% circulates on social networks.
– The social network has 35% set up in Basque. Reasons for not doing this: they don’t know how to set up, they get along better in Spanish, the habit...
– The same street language is made on the web.
Web sites are hardly known.
