- The parents, pupils and teachers of the Ikastola Landaberri, 500 metres from the new incinerator being built in Zubieta, have joined the demonstration called by GuraSOS for the afternoon of Saturday, 23 February, in which they have disseminated a mass communiqué at the door of the ikastola.
GuraSOS is in full swing for the demonstration called for on 23 February in Donostia-San Sebastian at 17:00 from the Old Tunnel in support of the consensus. As reported by the association through its Facebook, they have joined the appeal “Say Yes to Consensus” the unions CCOO, ELA and LAB, the political parties EH-BILDU, EQUO, PODEMOS and sortu, the environmental movement Greenpeace, among others.
The ikastola Landaberri, located in the land of Zubieta but considered as Lasarte-Oria, is located in zone 0 of the incinerator, as is the facilities and fields of the football club Real Sociedad, which has not yet closed its mouth on the subject, just 500 meters from the new facilities. For some time now, Landaberri’s teachers and students have expressed their discomfort and have shown the protest graphically, for example, through a banner. A year ago the Basque Government’s order came to them to withdraw a banner in which they asked for permission to do so. Now the people of Landaberri have called for GuraSOS Saturdays to go to the demonstration.
