Egoitz Urrutikoetxea referred to the decision taken in Euskal Irratiak on water management in Zuberoa and said that EH Bai group regretted EH Bai's commitment to private water management. In statements to the radio, Urrutikoetxea stated that this was a decision taken without consulting the public about their opinion on the management and the need for a real debate.

He has denounced “the lack of excessive transparency”, arguing that it is not understandable to keep the debate silent and “not to hold a broad and public plenary on it”.

Urrutikoetxea has explained that the elected representatives of the community and Zuberoa requested a study from a cabinet to study the most appropriate water management models. The study was presented on May 22 and three management models were proposed: the private management maintained so far; the public management; and the public management that the service assigns to private companies.

According to Urrutikoetxea, the study focused on public management, which has not been public. However, in the vote, only five municipalities supported this model. The rest chose to maintain the private model, and water will be managed.
