The National Police has arrested eight persons accused of forming a network of sexual exploitation of women in homes in Tolosa, Beasain and Bergara. Seventeen women have been identified, most of them of South American origin and with scarce economic resources. They have offered women the resources of the plan to combat trafficking in human beings in Spain.

The investigation began last February with the complaint lodged by one of the women exploited in Euskadi.El detained informed the police by email of their state of health and state. The cabecillas of the network operated in five houses and the women were guarded at all hours so that they could not account for their situation to anyone. To do so, in each house there was a head of the network.

The investigation, coordinated by the Court of Instruction No. 2 of Tolosa, began last February. Detainees are charged with crimes of trafficking in persons for sexual exploitation, pimping, drug trafficking, offering speed and cocaine to their clients and money laundering.
