The main goal of change is to improve the organization, hierarchy and presentation of information. We discard the scheme of the two main vertical columns of Argia.eus so far and classify the information by more horizontal blocks. Among other things, this structure is much more suitable for mobile devices.

We have also refined the design: we have modified the typographies, we have tried to make a cleaner web with the use of colors and we have better differentiated the many sections. In short, we have modified the structure to facilitate the reading of the information we publish on the web.

Seeing thousands of people access ARGIA daily via mobile, we will also renew the mobile version of our website. The readers who visit us often realize that the general designs of the articles have changed.

Besides podcasts, audiovisual production will have a prominent place. We have new developments in this area. ARGIA and Redfish deepen the collaboration begun years ago. This second means of communication, since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, is receiving a major attack on censorship, and the videos of the current international news they make will be broadcast in ARGIA from the surface.

In our opinion, in the face of the neoliberal media power that dominates the world, the media that make independent journalism should collaborate with each other, especially in the exchange of agendas and in topics of interest, in mutual dissemination. The largest media do so continuously with powerful tools, such as sharing agenda, transmitting information to news agencies quickly and with the same perspective, and always promoting these media with the complicity of social media multinationals.

Renewal of the administrative unit

The ARGIA website is 25 years old – a report by Itsaso Zubiria on the subject here – and, although it is not seen, the interior administrative space is built overlaying the patches. Initially, digitalized interviews were offered on the web, then weekly reports, then news began to be written, newspapers began to be introduced, newspapers, multimedia, blogs, tags, online fair… The laughs of the ARGIA website are X-rays of the moment each section was performed – today we have 120,000 indexed articles, and the immediate future project is to offer all the same until 1919 – and the working group also saw it in this period.
