The Eibar Court, for its part, investigates whether there has been any kind of crime against the safety of persons.
According to reports in Berria, journalists Mikel Peruarena and Imano Magro, the acting lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, and the Environment Minister, Iñaki Arriola, planned a visit to Zaldibar on 21 July, but suspended it when the arrests were known. Arriola already knows Barinaga, who has recently been arrested in the Foral Community of Navarra.
