"As Bertsolarism is an important example of the identity of the Basque Country and the Basque culture, Amuriza's oral contribution has not only contributed to the revitalization of the language, but has also contributed to its dissemination", stresses Eusko Ikaskuntza. "He has spread his work throughout the Basque Country and has contributed to the richness of Basque oral culture. Moreover, since its inception it has shown a strong commitment to Basque culture".

"However, beyond Bertsolarism, his professional career has been fruitful in the literary and musical spheres, with numerous novels, studies, records and recordings signed by him".

In the words of Eusko Ikaskuntza, his contribution to Bertsolarism and Basque culture in general is "impressive" and, today, his mark is perceived "in a very visible way". "In the teaching of Bertsolarism, in the forms of development of repentism, not only has it brought its contributions to be an indisputable point of reference for modern Bertsolarism, but it has established a certain sense that has meant a change of time for many. The work carried out in the study methods of Bertsolarism crushed the myth of Bertsolari born until then, encouraging the way to open the doors to verses' workshop schools."
