The PNV needs the support of the PP councilor in the Vox lists to remove the mayor in Kuartango to EH Bildu
  • EH Bildu has won the elections to Kuartango City Hall, but the mayor will be for the PNV, which has an agreement with the PP. He was elected by the PP, but has resigned his post for personal reasons and his deputy, the second of the PP list, is Juan Pablo Galán, who presented himself from Vox to the Senate of Álava in 2019.

EH Bildu won in Kuartango with 109 votes and three councillors in the last municipal elections, 99 votes and three PNV councillors. The seventh seat of the Corporation is from the PP, with 32 popular votes, and will play a fundamental role in the plenary next Saturday to decide the mayor. EH Bildu is the most voted list, but the PP will vote in favour of the candidature that the PNV will present, as it did in 2019, for nationalists to achieve the mayor and not EH Bildu.

Ana Salazar is the head of the PP list in Kuartango, but will waive the status of councillor for personal reasons, so he will replace the second of the list: John Paul Galán. This has lifted powders, knowing that Galán represented the far-right four years ago on the lists for the Algerian senate.

See Meabe Carro is the list head presented by the PNV to be mayor in Kuartango. Meanwhile, EH Bildu holds Amaia Ruiz de Zarate as a candidate.
