Vivaldi's "Four Stations" with Basque instruments

This baroque work that premiered in 1725 will be performed by the string quartet Arranoa and Stéphane Rougier. They're experienced musicians playing in big orchestras. The concert will be in the church of Larraul, from 19:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased in advance, for 6 euros, at the local library.

Flute, ttun-ttun, nuts... To represent nature mimicked by Vivaldi

The performance, named 4 Sasuak, has the particularity of using Basque musical instruments to narrate the images and sensations suggested by Vivaldi's work. The flute, the ttun-ttun, the nuts, the txalaparta, the pandero, the voice, the bells... will be used to represent the sensations of the movements of nature, the winds, the thunder, the calms, the fatigues, the songs of birds, the floral burst, the streams, the joys, the colds, etc.

Basque musical instruments shall be executed by: Mixel Etxekopar, Paxkal Indo, Paxkalin Chabagno and Patrik Larralde. The Culture Committee of Larraul will distribute a kind of interpretative guide to understand more about what this work is.
