On 1 December, International Day Against HIV, Zinegoak organized for the third time a film cycle in the Bilborock Hall on 4 and 5 December. This year’s cycle includes the documentary Lemebel and the 1985 film.
Lemebel is a documentary that narrates the life of the writer and referent of the LGTBI movement Pedro Lemebel, winner of the Teddy Prize in the last edition of the Berlin International Film Festival.
1985 The film narrates the cracks created in the 1980s by the HIV virus. Besides winning over six international awards, Zinegoak also won the award for the best giant in the latest edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival.
The objective of this third film cycle is to give visibility to the HIV virus and to fight the stigmas that arise around it, as, as underlined by Pau Gillen, director of the Zinegoak Association, "cinema and art have the capacity to transform how we receive reality". Consequently, this will be Zinegoak’s contribution to this line.
