CGT: "Mazónen utzikeria medio, ehunka hildako izan dira".

The union has submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office a nineteen page report arguing the complaint against Carlos Arturo Mazón Guixot. It details the warnings of both the meteorological agency AEMET and the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation on the storm hazard, as the DANA announced an “extreme danger” and, at the same time, Mazón ruled out a hydrological warning on the same day and announced that the storm would be closed for six in the afternoon (the worst that happened later).

The CGT has denounced in its report that “the negligence of the Administration, in particular the departure of Carlos Mazón at the head of this administration, and the delay in the warning to the citizens, have led to hundreds of deaths, including many workers who have died in the workplace or from the work centre home.”

"There are still villages where people are still trapped because no one has appeared to do the rescues."

Saturday, demonstration

On the 9th, at 6 p.m., many agents have called a demonstration in front of the City Hall of Valencia to denounce the "unfortunate and irresponsible management" of the administration before the DANA and demand the resignation of Mazón. Among them are Acció Cultural del País Valencià, Amical de Mauthausen, CNT, Decim, Escola Valenciana, the federation of parents of students from Valencia and the Pel dret Platform to Decide of the Country Valencià, among others.

“There are still villages where people are still trapped because no one has appeared to do the rescues,” the organizers say, angry. When he arrived at the Valencian Government because pp dissolved the Emergency Unit, because he was not properly informed of the effects of the DANA, and because the management that is being done afterwards is “disastrous”, they will ask for the resignation of the chief executive. The organizers have also criticised the fact that people are not informed that they are still incommunicado or trapped, according to the organizers.

In particular, the official figure was released on the afternoon of this Tuesday: The number of missing persons is 89 because of DANA. However, they added that there could be more people missing, if they have not made their disappearance known. According to data provided by the Foral Police on Tuesday, the deaths have been 211.

Other manifestations

A concentration has also been called in the main square of Castellón for the afternoon of the 7th day, and on that same day they will concentrate in front of the headquarters of pp in Barcelona.

On the other hand, demonstrations have also been held on 10 and 15 of this month, although they have warned that these are protests by far-right groups.
