"They consider that both the request and the acceptance of the Euroorder are based on old schemes that express the will to chain Euskal Herria in a logic based on the past and revenge", points out the document jointly written by EH Bai and EH Bildu. This is the Euroorder against former prisoner Josu Urrutikoetxea, sentenced to four years in prison.
The Court of Appeal in Paris approved the Euroorder of the Spanish National Court against Urrutikoetxea, which was called for on 30 September in the case of the Herriko Tabernas. The decision shall be appealed to the Court of Cassation.
The Prosecutor’s Office has also declared itself in favour of approving the request for extradition requested by Spain for the murder of Luis Hergueta on 30 September. In this respect, the agreement will be reached on 18 November.
Leftist coalitions have strongly denounced the decisions: "It is not acceptable to refuse to take further steps in a comprehensive solution to the situation of Basque political prisoners," he added.
On 30 September last, the Euroorder against the Algerian political prisoner Alaitz Aramendi, convicted of membership in the same house, was also examined. On 4 November it will be known whether the French Justice accepts the surrender of the prisoner to the State of Caracas.
